Every job is unique.
Sometimes items are clustered together in one place, meaning that testing can be carried out rapidly.
In other cases the items can be spread across multiple rooms, meaning testing can take a little take longer.
We have a fair price structure that is easy to understand and will allow you to meet the needs of your business.
Our basic rate starts at £50.00
This covers the Chichester area, and includes testing of up to ten items.
Minor repairs and fuse replacements are included in the price.
Additional tests will be charged at an initial rate of £3.00 per item, decreasing depending on quantity
On completion of testing we will provide a fully detailed PAT Certificate.
PAT testing gives you the confidence that your electrical equipment has been fully tested, and is safe to use.
At the same time it fully satisfy both your insurers, and the heath and safety executive.

Argonaut is a family run business based in Chichester West Sussex.
We have been PAT testing since 2010.
Qualified with City & Guilds 2377-12 in Portable Appliance Testing.
Argonaut holds comprehensive public liability insurance cover.
Each of our test engineers are DBS checked, and first aid in the workplace trained.
We offer a friendly and reliable service in and around Chichester and the Manhood peninsular.
WHAT IS PORTABLE
APPLIANCE TESTING?
A Portable Appliance Test (PAT) uses a combination of visual inspection and electronic tests to verify the safety of an electronic appliance. A PAT test determines whether or not an appliance is safe to use.
During the PAT test we carry out repairs to address minor faults, such as replacing a fuse, or re-wiring a plug.
On completion we will issue you with a certificate of inspection for all your appliances.
What do we test?
Any appliance with a plug that is capable of connecting to the mains is eligible for a PAT test.
Common items include kettles, toasters, hairdryers, fan heaters, Televisions, Vacuum cleaners, power supplies,
IT equipment, and extension cables.
Where do we test?
We provide services to local businesses in and around Chichester.
These include rental properties, B&B's, pubs, and home office environments.
Hotels and wedding venues often require a PAT certificate for any electrical equipment used.
Argonaut can safely test any required lighting or DJ equipment for you,
ensuring that you meet the insurance needs of the venue.
